Two Days Training Program for Advocates of District Bar Associations, Third Batch

The Sindh Judicial Academy has imparted a training for justice sector stakeholders aiming to improve their professional abilities and upgrade judicial system.

The Academy has arranged two days training program 14-07-2017 to 15-07-2017 for advocates on following subjects:

  1. How to record evidence in civil case as commissioner? and
  2. How to inspect site and submit report as commissioner?

The Bar Associations have nominated Advocates having few years’ experience as law practitioner. The Academy has provided boarding and lodging to the participants.

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony

The certificate distribution ceremony was held in conference room. Honorable Mr. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, the Director General Sindh Judicial Academy, addressing to the participants said that this two days’ time was very short. We, in our very limited budget and resources, tried our level best to provide you the finest facilities we could. I hope that you might have enjoyed our hospitality and soon we will arrange a training program for a longer period.

He said that “as we are aware of the fact that in interior Sindh, the criminal litigations are in bigger number. The Honorable Chief Justice of Sindh generated this idea of sensitizing the Advocates in this field.”

Describing the personality of Honorable Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim, Honorable Mr. Justice Khilji Arif Hussain said that Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim belongs to a small district Kotri near Jamshoro and he worked hard from the start of his career. He said that Honorable Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim has a very humble background but because of his honesty and dedication, he achieved one of the highest ranked position.

The Honorable Director General took a stroll down his memory lane and said that they both were appointed as a Judge of High Court of Sindh in the same batch and also elevated to Supreme Court of Pakistan. He directed the participants to go through the Law Digest and see that how beautifully and easily Honorable Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim made very difficult and bold decisions. He also thanked him for sparing some time out of his tight schedule.

The Honorable DG advised the participants that in advocacy, the honesty and hard work always count a lot. He said that Al Mighty Allah likes the justice and you are a vital part of the justice system.

Honorable Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim began his address in a very lighter way by telling a story. He also thanked the Honorable Director General for his nice introduction. He said that an Advocate is always respectable for everyone if he is professionally sound but unfortunately the standard is getting low and you have to work hard for attaining a remarkable position. He told the participants that you belong to a very vast field so you have to have a good knowledge about your profession.

Honorable Mr. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim said that during his affiliation with the High Court of Sindh, he visited all the districts of the province regarding the reforms. He recalled some great personalities from District Khairpur Mir’s and District Naushehro Feroze. He said that a great number of eminent politicians and respectable personalities from judiciary belong to Khairpur Mir’s. He revealed a very interesting information that in President Ayyub Khan’s times, when the politicians were expelled from their home towns, they used to spend their exile in Khairpur Mir’s and most of the time Honorable Mr. Justice Ali Aslam Jafri was their host.

Finally the certificates were distributed among the participants followed by a group photograph.
